OVERVIEW OF ALCHEMISTS

Two to four players take on the title of alchemists while they race to discover the art of alchemy. Points are earned by publishing correct theories, proven by the card reader. Players mix various ingredients and test the results. Players can spend money on magical artifacts, gaining power, but losing money in the process. Players put their reputation on the line when they publish theories. Who will be the best?

SETUP

Begin setup by placing the gameboard in the middle of the playing area, with the exhibition board placed to the side. Shuffle each of the decks and place them on their assigned space on the board. The artifact cards are to be separated into three decks, depending on the number ranking. Draw three cards from each of the deck and place them on the assigned portion of the board.

Each player will then place their player board in front of them for all players to see. If there are two players, then they will collect six action cubes, three players will collect five action cubes, and four players will collect four action cubes. Each player will then draw two favor cards, choosing only one to keep. They will then draw three ingredients from the apprentice deck and two ingredients from the master deck.

The theory board can be placed to the side of the main game board. In order to initialize the card reader, the players must download and launch the app, choosing the correct variant and beginning a new game. The game is then ready to begin.

GAMEPLAY

The game is played over the course of six rounds. First, players will choose the play order. Then they will declare and evaluate their actions. Gameplay continues clockwise around the group.

Play Order

The player with the starting player marker will choose their order by placing their marker on an order space that is not currently occupied. Players are unable to choose the same space. Each player will then do the same thing going clockwise around the group. Play order is determined by the order of these markers for the remainder of the round.

Declaring and Resolving Actions

The player who is the lowest on the order space is the first to declare their actions, then continuing in ascending order through the players. Players choose their actions by placing their action cubes on the actions that they wish to take. The first player to choose will place their cubes in the bottom row, whereas the players who choose last will place their cubes in the top row.

Actions are resolved in a clockwise order going around the board. The player on the highest row will begin to take their actions, with the player on the bottom row taking their actions last. When players take their actions, they will take their cubes as well. Some players may have two actions, and their second actions are taken after everyone has taken their first action.

Players may decline their actions if they want to. Their cubes are then placed in the unused cubes space. At the end of the round, they collect one favor card for each pair of unused cubes.

End of Round

The box beside the order spaces will remind players of the things that occur at the end of a round. After scoring is complete, the game may be setup for the next round. Five new ingredient cards are dealt to the row, replacing any remaining ingredient cards.

All order markers are moved from the order spaces. The player to the left of the first starting plater will then receive the starting player marker. The next round of gameplay can then begin. Gameplay continues in this manner for six rounds. 온라인슬롯

END OF GAME

After 6 rounds of gameplay, the game comes to an end. The points are tallied. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game, becomes the winner!

Scoring

If the players have reputation points, they are turned into victory points. For every reputation point that the player has, one victory point is earned. The player with the Magic Mirror, those points are tallied first, then their other artifacts. If a player has favor cards, each one is exchanged for two pieces of gold. For each gold piece, one third victory point is earned.

After scoring their artifacts, players will participate in The Big Revelation. The card reader is placed where all players can see it. A player should tap the Show Answer portion to show all answers associated with each ingredient. If the theory is correct, then players earn 5 points for a gold seal, 3 points for a silver seal, and no points for a plain seal. If it is incorrect, the player loses 4 points for a starred seal or unstarred seal and no points for a properly hedged seal. These are victory points, not reputation points.
